Silliman University, founded in 1901, is the oldest American-founded university in Asia and is located in the coastal city of Dumaguete in the Philippines—often called a “university town.” Its seaside campus and strong culture of service, community engagement, and “whole-person education” create a uniquely immersive academic experience.   • Dr. Mariano C. Lao Global Studies Center (GSC)The university’s “innovation engine” for online learning and international collaboration. It hosted the ICETI 2026 conference on EdTech and AI in February.
  • Claire Isabel McGill Luce Auditorium – The premier cultural space in the Visayas; used for high-level diplomatic ceremonies, investitures, and large-scale summits.
